The Challenge
To recreate a boat rudder with only the original as a reference.
The Solution
After tracing the outline of the original on the new board, I rough cut it to size on the table saw. Next I estimated the tapered angles and manually used the CNC machine to plane the board down. Final steps included hand planing and several grades of sanding.
